Women Education, A consequencial tool for National Development.

yes nationalism ! These women made the way for Nigerian nationalists to start agitating for nationalism.
In the year 1929, many women lost their lives during the Aba women riot, These women battled against the evil of the warrant chiefs. The agitation of nationalism would maybe not have been successful if the women did not pave the way for the nationalists but when the story of nationalism is told in Nigeria this women who played a very active role are usually omitted.

In Nigeria, women have stood tall to showcase the country to the world. They have done this through their unprecedented achievements in several sectors, for example in the area of management, women like Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala made us proud when she was appointed to head the International Monetary fund (IMF) also known as the word bank(IMF is not the same with world bank, research again and find out the exact one she worked).
The legacies of late Prof.Mrs. Dora Akinyuli will forever be remembered. Before now, Nigeria was known as a dumping ground for fake and adulterated drugs but late Prof. Dora in the expence of her life did her best to put an end to this evil act. Because of her, Nigeria was commended Internationally for her fight against fake drugs. In the past, Nigeria was noted for oil crisis and mismanagement, but the emergence of Mrs Allison maduka(recheck the spelling of the surname, why didn't you add her first name _Dieziani? °not sure if dieziani is spelt correctly, you can check again ) as the petroleum minister, oil crisis disputes was shut down and Nigeria now played a significant role in the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). In the area of sports, Nigerian women have demonstrated a great prowess to show that truly Nigeria is the giant of Africa. Recently our own super falcons permofmed very well in the 2014 U 20 World Cup in Canada. They came so close to the ultimate prize only to be stopped by Germany.
They really made Nigeria and even Africa proud by winning the silver medal. This is an achievement which is very rare in the super Eagles.
Still recently, our own Blessing Ogabare (spelling of surname not correct) who made the country proud during the Commonwealth Games was honoured with the award of the Commander of the order of the Niger (CON).
Our women have contributed a great deal in other sectors like health, human right protection and education.

The government of the day have tryed to create an enabling environment for women to strive and succeed, women are now appointed into political offices. Today we have women serving as ministers, senators, deputy governors commissioners as well as local government chairman. In facts it is only in Nigeria(stop exaggerating, can't be only Nigeria jhor) that the office of the first lady is autonomous and strong as that of the president, the first lady has her own advisers and national officers just like that of the president. All these are political achievement made by women, we are still waiting for the 2015 elections to unfold itself for the women.

If Nigeria should grow as a nation, more investment should be made into women education, more scholarships should be granted to the girls than the boys, yes! Because research have made us understand that girls succeed greatly in school than the boys. Parents should learn to invest in the education of their daughters, they should shun this unethical ideology that educating their daughters is like pouring water on a hen which will not get soaked because they will be married out.Statistics have shown us that majority of those involved in terrorism, kidnapping, hand robbery and other crimes are the male children. Time flies they say, can you show me a male engineer, pilot, technician, lawyer etc and I will show you a successful female engineer, pilot , technician because what a man can achieve a woman can achieve even more.
